Just acquired. Pretty sure the person I bought it from is a member of this Forum, but I don't know his user name.
Appears to be 100% stock and unmolested. Odometer reads 87K miles, and judging from the interior condition and how well the engine runs, I believe that is actual.
I intend to do a very mild restoration. For example, I'm replacing the vinyl top, which is bad, but I am not re-painting -- the existing paint has a nice patina.
Couple of quick questions: what does everyone think of the repop headliners from stockinteriors.com? And are there any other good sellers of interior and exterior reproduction parts? I could specifically use new turn, backup, and tail light lenses, but am not willing to pay NOS prices.
Thanks!

Welcome! Whereabouts in Austin are you? I work near Mopac and 2222 and live up by Mopac and 45, almost in Round Rock. Great car, love the black top on the white.

Chris

Good luck with the new ride!! ONLY exterior parts that are repops are the driver side mirror and outside door handles. That is it for exterior. Break out the wallet for NOS. Ask me how I know!!

Thjanks for the welcomes.
CLD, I'm not too far -- I am very close to I-35 and HWY. 183 -- actually I'm in the infamous Rundberg neighborhood if you read the paper... been there over 30 years, since before it became what it is now...

I know that neighborhood well, have meetings at various engineering firms and agencies in the area. I like to listen to Dudley & Bob in the mornings... as I'm sure you know, KLBJ is in the neighborhood, and they always have good stories about zombies in the parking lot...

Hey DB. Did you buy her from Bobby?
Yes, I did. He has been very helpful.

CLD, ha-ha, actually KLBJ is just outside of ground zero, which stops at the Interstate.
EDIT --just checked, actually depending on which map you go by, you are in the 'hood, but not the targeted grant area.

Bobby is a good guy. He's not a regular here but he did try selling it here a while back. I must have a couple hundred pics of your car. Check the vinyl top before doing anything else. If I remember right...there were a couple of "crunchy" areas. Congrats on a really great car!!

Welcome........love those interiors, buckets, full length console, dash all have great attributes. Nice car....

Welcome, great car!!! I wish that one was available when I bought mine. As far as re-pops are concerned, moparnutcase is dead on. If it didn't fit other models, you're not find it unless you go NOS. Mirrors and door handles and I think the antenna for the exterior. Armrest bases and pads, c-pillar lights, dome light, and console lights for the interior. I might have found the shifter indicator lense but need to check with the guys here to determine if it will work, then there is carpet, headliners, and rear seat fillers available too. But that's about it... The joys of single model year ownership. Glad to have you aboard, I believe you are the 5th 65 Monaco owner here, 3 of us from Texas!!

Thanks for all of the welcomes.
I found the thread where Bobby tried to sell the car on this Forum. Too bad it didn't work out for anyone. He is super-honest and forthcoming.
It's also too bad that his only posts were on that one thread. He would be an intersting and knowledgeable Forum contributor. He has a big classic Mopar stable -- so much that I was sort of overwhelmed and don't really remember, but I think he had a cherry Fury III, stabled indoors, along with something else that I never even saw because it was indoors AND covered, a few other really nice classic Mopars outside, and he was downsizing a 69 Valiant, a 68 Dart, and my car, I think they are all sold now.
