We are reconditioning the 383 out of a 1965 Sport Fury, and we got a new set of engine mounts. After comparing the new ones, we realized that the driver's side bracket and the 2228 mount does not line up correctly.

I cannot find any information on this bracket unless it is in a Schumacher conversion kit, but I am also very new to Mopars. If anyone has any insight or direction, it would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a picture of the mount.

Yes, on 65 big block C bodies the drivers side mount is not like others. This exact bracket and isolator was also used on 67-69 big block A bodies (383 Darts and Barracudas). If you go hunting for drivers side motor mount isolators for those cars you will be more likely to find a replacement as there is more support for muscle cars than a 1 year C body.

Gotcha thanks for that info! Looks like it calls for a 2250 mount like the picture below looks different and the isolator is made on the bracket as 1 piece. Still on the hunt

Ok, here ya go. This is from forabodiesonly, it is a factory new old stock mount. You can see that it has 2 studs top and bottom. The aftermarket ones like anchor 2228 have 2 studs on top and a single for the k member side (I think that’s how it goes). As you can see, the nos mounts bring giant money for a piece of rubber. I would personally use the $10 mount from rockauto and make a new hole on the single stud side, you’ll need to verify if the single goes up or down by fitment. Correctly locate it fore/aft and make the hole slotted up/down like some newer k members so you don’t need to be super precise. Unless your car is extra rare and valuable (along the lines of a 69 440 Cuda), this is the way I would go.
