Does anyone know if the wood veneer that was used in the dash and door panels can be replaced? Is there anything out there that is a close match to the original look? I have called several shops that restore door panels and dashes and no one seems to know what to do.

What condition is yours in? Is it all there? Ho about some pics?

I did mine on the car. I used 000 steel wool and a poly stain to bring back the color. I did NOT clear it, however. After a few days, I used Lemon Pledge furniture polish to finish the job. I'm happy with it.

Might sure looks like that in pattern and shade. Mine is definitely original to my car.
It’s walnut but not specifically burl, more figured in places but every tree was different. I believe the fuselage years saw the introduction of the use of burl.

I’ve always thought the wood trim in the 1966 Imperial was such a nice touch, especially for that classic luxury feel. From what I’ve seen, the wood interior in these cars can hold up pretty well, but over time, it might need some TLC. If the trim is original, you could consider restoring it to keep that vintage charm. There are some great resources out there for this kind of project. You might find this link helpful if you consider refinishing or maintaining the wood. It walks you through the process and offers some solid tips.
