1966 Monaco grill

I have a 1966 Monaco that I am making a Monaco 500. The grill on my Monaco is black. Is the 500 Grill Chrome? I can't tell from pictures.

As in, they are all chrome.

Someone must have painted yours black at some point in time.

Thank you for your reply. I believe you are correct. My grill is mostly black with the exception of the headlight surrounds.

It's likely that the black is just rattle can paint, so a mild paint remover should take it off without damaging the chrome plating. Oven cleaner may work too. Experiment in a hidden spot first.
