Hello all,

I'm about to buy my 2nd C body (1st one was in 1996) and had a general question for ya... this one is a 1966 Monaco hardtop

It's there anything in particular I should look at... any problem areas. The one i had back in the day didn't have any rust or issues other than the regular wear and tear.

Any help and advice will be greatly appreciated :)

These cars are now over 50 years old. Get the car up on a rack and do a frame inspection, especially if the car is anywhere near the rust belt. Check for rust out on the frame rails, stub frame, trunk floor, lower quarter radii, lower part of the front fenders and the rockers. These cars also had a rust problem under the vinyl tops and around the A pillars and rear window channel. If those areas are solid, meaning no bondo or rust, you have a solid car to start with that will be worth fixing up as a driver or an eventual restored classic.

That's the base model Monaco I'd like to own. Color and wheels do it for me. Let us know how it turns out.
