Standard manual steering and manual single pot master cylinder might make something of a hand full to drive, all stuff that can be fixed. Foot pedals and wheels need to go. Other than that, I kinda like this one. Needs chrome bumpers, but that would not make it any less fun to drive with updated brakes, and power steering. Would be curious to know if the 426 wedge was original equipment, makes the car worth a lot more.

BUT. . . No A/C!

As I see it:
  • Looks like a nice interior job made to replicate oem, no dash pad which is fine however it looks like the clip holes haven't been filled in. Bob at ABC Moparts can supply the pad. Not a Fury 1 steering wheel. They painted over the ID plate inside the drivers door. And lose those feet.
  • Supposed low mileage 37K and the body appears to reflect that from the outside.
  • Not bad detailing in the engine bay. Agree on a 66 the 440 would be the better big block choice imo however it's pretty cool as is. A 426 hood ornament would be a nice touch to give it some subtle gusto. They use a 3/8 fuel line under the hood I wonder if its run all the way from the tank, and if it has a return line.
  • Silver sprayed bumpers should be sent for chroming.
  • As mentioned here already a brake system upgrade is essential.
  • Needs a wider stance in the front by using with different wheel back spacing. And yes to the black steelies/poverty caps over the center line style.
  • Overall most of the big stuff is done and the price is reasonable providing an inspection doesn't reveal anything bad in the trunk or under side.

If I remember correctly I have seen this car for sale before. It may have been when I was looking for a car. I thought it was interesting but wasn't interested because I was looking for a 69. The pics look the same.

If he truly believes there is something special about that 426 er bored out 413, he's delusional.

Stage II MaxWedge specs, what a load of crap. The only thing that makes a MaxWedge special are the heads and this build has 915 castings.

Stabbing a big cam into your grandmother's 413 does not a MaxWedge make.

Rant off...

Other than the Bowtie Bozo Flipperspeak, and the Calcustom gas pedal, I love it.

It might even be priced realistically subject to a detailed inspection.

Kevin

We tried over boring the 413 to 426 after we went .060 over on the 413 on a couple of the race engines years ago (no body was making bigger pistons more than .060 over). Did not end well, cylinders cracked and leaked coolant. Might work on a street engine that was not being pushed to the limit.
