Round 2. Selling on behalf of my Dad.

Does not run. Has not since about 2011. Was bought in 2009. Was parked into a garage from 2011 until 2019. Has been sitting outside since 2019 at a storage facility.

Car is equipped from the factory with manual drum brakes all around. Manual steering. A/C. Roll up windows. 3-speed transmission on the tree. Has the 318 powerplant.

Has a disc brake set up in the trunk that can be negotiated to come with.

Car is in a storage facility in Lenexa, KS. Please call to set up a time to view.

Has a clean and clear title from Kansas. Can deliver for an agreed upon price as well.
Asking $2,000 or best offer.

Kidding right? In case you're not and for the record it's a poly head 318. Block is no wider than any other 318.

I’ve heard the Polys called wide blocks more often than polys for most of my 40 years of studying and playing with mopars.

I am aware of their heritage and design but just called it a wide block out of habit and familiarity but I do realize poly is accurate.

The main place I’ve heard the more correct term used is this forum but wide block is also used here pretty commonly. So most knew exactly what I meant.

I assume they got that nickname because of the way the heads go straight out/up from the block vs angling up like LA engines, giving the poly a ‘wider’ appearance.

In the early days I would sometimes mistake one for a B engine upon first glance opening a hood in the junkyard but those sexy valve covers told me otherwise.

I’ll endeavor to train myself to call them Poly or Polyspherical in future comments.

Yes it looks like a poly 318 commonly referred to as a wide block. Not sure it is worth the work to make this a good driver but there are some things that are intriguing about this car making it a valuable parts car.
The pedal assemblies would be worth some good change plus all the a/c parts make it worth looking at. Toss in the disc brake components and it is definitely worth it if you need the parts.

Highly unlikely due to lack of a facility to do so at. However I will post parts if we go that route.

For those of you thinking about doing a manual trans conversion, I installed a Tremec from Silver Sport Transmissions in my '65 SF ( I have a thread here). As I was going back and forth with Jack Silver through email, I asked him if they would be interested in looking at an original set of pedals since they don't offer them. They were interested so I boxed them up and sent them to SST, they scanned them so they have the dimensions now. They also sand blasted them, primed them, and sent them back to me.
They will need to see people interested in these to make it worth manufacturing them. It could happen!!
They told me they are different than anything they offer, longer than most cars, almost like a truck.

Silver State will need to be aware that they are different, else they risk selling stuff to guys who also may not know the difference, who then convert their car and have 'now my brakes don't work right' problems that only guys on here will know how to solve.

I didn't tell SST I had power brakes, actually, I didn't think about there being a difference. They also didn't ask.
