The dogs call dibs on the tires?
The way you are going, you'll need a barn just a little south of you for storage!
The car will be at Mopars in the Park next year, and then I'll tear it all apart. I'm scared, nervous, excited and bummed all at the same time, and the cars just sitting in storage! I think getting the Dart driving under it's own power, and much like the Medalist, stopping under it's own power, will be such a big deal for me. The car has never been given the love it needs, and the Polara has taken a lot meant for it. It will be surreal to take it for a drive, with power and brakes. I've never had both, I literally had to drive around the block to swing her back around (more fun than reverse). I've had the dart long enough that most of the pictures are, gulp, real pictures!
I also realized, I didn't take one picture with my phone of the Polara at any car shows this year! I think I did with my SLR Nikon, but I'll have to dig that out and check. Ok the show in Easton in August I took one. (That show rocked! Very laid back, super easy going and they even had a good spread of food! And I finally got to see some of the Mopars that hide around these parts. We tried to get they guy with the 69 Mod Top Cuda to bring the car, but he didn't. Some others were still at home, but it was cool to get to meet the players in my region. The 66 Charger is quite the car I've heard.) I just had fun at the shows I went to. Talking with people I know at the Park, and meeting owners I've never met at the others. It was a very relaxing year for me as a car show attendant. I still have yet to fill out any ballot, I just get lost in parts, or the story of a car. I do hunt down the Mopars, but any car has a story, and people love to tell their tale, and I love to listen.
I have the parts car coming next year, said front stub replacement, and if the Dart is on the road, a decision to make on a daily basis, as to which car will I drive to work. Bummer. Gotta take the fleet down to next to nothing to be able to have it all. Like that 70's craze, where they "tore" you down before they "built" you back up. Just hope the car remembers who it is!
