Well does anyone have the VIN? simple as that right? if a true 440 4-Speed car it should be done to a whole Rotisserie Restoration, Least that is what I would do. I would love to have that car it is like a 2 and a Half ton Roadrunner.

Yes I just Decoded it and it is a Real 440 4-Speed is there doubt that the original engine is gone?

It's not close to that heavy

Rubber expandable pipe cap, they work great for replacing these core plugs when they rust out.

Thanks guys for all the input, I have learned a lot about my car, you guys are great historians. Both the car and I have received a lot of criticism, the car mainly because it is a C body and this being the C body forum I can't understand why. What more desirable C body was ever produced then a 440 Super Commando 4 speed? The cynical nature of of some of these comments, one chided me for not having documentation when the listing clearly states that I have the title. He obviously did not read the description before commenting, repeating the 3rd grade might help. This car is a rolling piece of Mopar history that should be preserved, if I sell it good, if I don't good. We will start a high quality resto after the summer and you will see it again in the spring. Thanks again for all the info, Lord Bless

you got picked on because of how YOU opened this conversation. you posted in the for sale section, and then said 'ok boys, make me an offer. whats it worth?'

now I didn't do any picking on you, so don't shoot the messenger.

im just sayin, its all in the delivery. most people that come in here and post a thread like yours are flippers. and we have a general distaste for dolphin.

come in, be cool, hang out, restore the car, or drive the wheels off it.

if you are flipping it, well, rotsa ruck.

Best of luck with your fine C-Body, Overall the gentlemen in this group are top notch, knowledgeable, critical, likeable (sometimes not so much), and more than willing to offer their expertise opinions and helpful insight on whatever your situation will be. That's why I love this site so much. Yes some of of can be clowns, rude, forward or any of a number of adverbs you may chose but all that aside all of the members of this site are C-Body lovers and very passionate about their or your cars. One may not like or agree with what any particular member may post but know for sure their comments are true and from their experience and passion for these behemoth motor vehicles. One thing I know for sure it's extremely hard if not impossible to get one over on these guys. Hope to see you back here and keep us posted on your restoration !! and remember ......................:worthless_thread:

Let me quote myself, EXACTLY, as to my comments regarding documentation...

Oh, and since you are in Georgia (a no-title state), what paperwork do you have to prove it's yours and do you have a current (or expired) registration in YOUR name from Georgia??? These things are a requirement to an out-of-state buyer in a title state, especially. No documentation means no ability to register and title in most title states. Something to consider.

Read carefully, with emphasis on the underscored areas of my statement... Your comment about the 3rd grade might just apply to YOU here. What I'm asking above is what documentation do you have IN YOUR NAME that this is yours??? An "old brown title" in a previous owners' name, is a meaningless statement. So, maybe if your read MY words a little more carefully, you'd get the gist of the legitimate questions I have about the car. Pretty easy, no???

Some of your own words:

"have original old brown title"

original as in 1968 but what about 2015

"Now you guys are the C body guys so I want you to tell me what it is worth. Will listen to Trade offers too."

Sounds more like your goal was to sell the car rather than a "rolling piece of Mopar that should be preserved" and now you are going to start a high quality resto. Should have started out that way but now you are a dollar short and a day late.

there,s 430 on the side which means a eary 440. you can't modify that. i'd pay 10,000 shipped if i could drive it. if clutch is a little ify you take it back home
