So how do you fend off the dreaded "Yah, I'm gonna git 'round to fixin'er up someday" stigma?
The stigma is sometimes legitimate. At least Dave has the car safely stored inside. Those who say that while the car is rotting under a tree are the culprets.

I need all the stars to line up before getting deep into a restro.... Don't like to drag it out for years. What I'm doing on my 61 is to choose items that require outside service, such as chrome, upholstery, etc, and get it done ahead of time. That way I feel like i'm getting something done on the car.

"I'm gonna fix er up someday"....... TRUE STORY....!

Hey, I like all this positive talk! i'll even join in and say that I am confident i'll have a car real soon.

...........lol...........

My money's on a cemetary lot first....

Can I have a piece of that action? I have supported Mark for the last three years in his search, once a car turns up, he'll be on it .

Well Mark, are you working on acquiring something since we talked at Carlisle?

Any Seinfeld fans here remember that Jerry always found something wrong with every girl he dated that inevitably ended the chance for a meaningful relationship. That show ended with him still single...

Yes Bob......got my eye on something....no worries, once I cut a deal you i will make sure you guys know what I buy. Do you prefer GM or Ford?

Matt's analogy is a good one, but this Jerry is trying to leave some of the nitpicking at home.........not saying it's completely going away, just that I am trying to be more realistic in my expectations, esp on a 40+ year old car.
