Didn't know that, is the VIN stamped (on the lid) on '73 cars as well?

Far as I know they never put it on the lid. The lid is too easily replaced I suspect. The hidden VIN should be on the driver's side channel under the weather strip. It should be under the strip directly across from the die number. These locations did vary by model and year. As I recall some also had the hidden VIN stamped under the trim on the A Pillar. An example of trunk style making is attached.

Not that it matters much, but non-rosette rivets on the VIN tag would bug me.

It looks like the dash pad has a coat of paint on it....

Looks like the steel part of the dash has been repainted with a gloss paint rather than matte, and the dash pad, steering wheel, and A pillar covers have been dyed, but in more of a flesh tone than butterscotch? Or is that tan? And you can see a repair (they didn't use the texture paper!) in the photo of the VIN. Nice car, in nice colours.

Like I said, not that it matters much, but I did mine in an hour for about $25 and mine is just a driver. No need to pull the plate either, just some patience with the tape. Details make a quality restoration.

Curiosity got the best of me, I looked it up. "A bonded tile is issued when adequate proof of ownership has not been established."
In other words the seller did not have a bill of sale, title or other proof of ownership and presumably posted a bond to get a "Bonded Title".

Run very fast from this one.

Dave
Definitely check it out, however the state Should do a heck of a check

I have a bonded title on my 67 Charger. Took 8 months to get it. The reason is MN didn't issue titles till the 70's, and the second owner bought it in 1995, and never got around to filing for one. By that time, the original owner had passed away.

If he has some evidence of why, its not a big issue, and in MN, the bond is only 3 years
