1969 Imperial progress thread

When I shipped my '67 Belvedere I wagon to Texas from Germany, I watched it get loaded on a six-car transporter in front of the house I lived in in Germany. It went to Bremerhaven from my house, along with two brand-new 1992 M-B coupes worth about $175K each, that were already on the truck when it arrived. It took about a month for the car to arrive at the port in Houston, where I picked it up and drove it home to OKC. So, the waiting and waiting is something I know well. I'm happy your Imperial is on dry land in Rotterdam! That will make quite a sight as you pull it to Frankfurt. Are you using an anhanger or a rollback-LKW to haul the car with?

I cant wait to see the start of your restoration thread on this car, i think its going to be very exciting.

Ya, it's not an ordinary sight to see a 5,8m long car on a trailer driving across germany, that's for sure! This also answers your question equal, I will rent a trainer hauled by a Volvo XC90.

This thread is 41 pages and not a single part refurbished yet! What's taking you so long!:poke:

LOL, very happy to hear you will soon see your new baby! :eek:s_dancing2:

Believe me, once your start digging in to it you won't be able to sleep at night thinking of all the time that's being wasted with your eyes closed.

It's already happening and I never touched her :p

There's a '69 coupe in the MCG this month.

You should start a registry for these Julian.

I have pictures of most of the interesting ones (if there were pictures) and a lot of cars safed in my head, like this one. ;)

The car I wanted to use to pull the Imp home crashed totally today -_- Another car crashed into the left front wheel and took the wheel and the whole suspension with him. :BangHead:

Now, I can't find another car that is allowed to pull 2,7t... Shoot! That's a never ending story :icon_hang:

I don't know which thread is more amazingly long, this one or the Fury III convertible thread. I mean, that one is three times as long as this one, but at least he has a car!

(I'm doing my part to make this one longer)

There will be an ending soon.... I hope....:eusa_wall:

Do you have anything over there like we do such as U-Haul where you can rent a light truck and a car trailer?

Nothing like U-Haul, no. We just have a lot of rental car companies over here but they want redicilously much money for a vehicle that can pull the required 2,7 tons.. I got quotes between 400-500€ + gas.

The shipping company offered me to haul it on an open trailer for 475€. Thats nearly as much as the costs for the ship across the ocean...

Enough plot twists already!!
