CE27G9C203585 is for sale on eBay in Buckfield, MN. The high bid is $1,925, with a day to go. This EB3/E2B3/V3W 'vert was first listed on CL at $5k a couple of weeks ago (@T-revorNobody was first to post about it).

The CL ad has moved to eBay, with detailed info and more pics. The seller shared the tag and the title in the original owner's name. Interestingly, the title says manufacturing in 1968 while the tag shows a scheduled build date of January 10, 1969 -- @69CoronetRT may wish to comment.

The seller has uploaded several videos of the car on YouTube. He seems to have had issues starting the car earlier, but other videos showing the underside and the driver's side while the engine is running sound good to me.

No. '69 had the ignition switch on bottom of dash, left side. 70 and up: column

Needs a new top and It is missing the quarter spears. That can often mean bondo underneath, so an inspection would be needed. On the positive side, the rockers appear solid as do the bottoms of the doors. Car appears to have been repainted given the lack of holes for the missing spears.

every time i see a blue '69 i wonder what became of this car.

As discussed in this thread, I went to look at CE27G9C280117 with intent to buy but passed due to rust under a repaint and for other reasons explained here. Here is the tag for the historians. I don't know what happened to the car after I gave up on it.

The ignition switch in the dash is one of the reasons I prefer the 69 over a 70. I think of the column switch as a a down grade......

1) I'm not aware of any new owner documentation showing the year of manufacturing that could be taken to the DMV when getting a new title. How was this piece of information sourced?????

2) Cars were built ahead of and after the SPD. Most variances show after. Is it possible the car was built 10+ days ahead of the SPD. Yes. Is it likely or probable...no. I'm not sure assigning SPDs and VIN were even done that far ahead to get the car 'into the system' for production. Research continues.

3) Typo.

Most titles have the year first sold on them, that could be seen as the manufacture date if prior to the model year.
