1969 polara 500

It will probably be a while before I start tearing it down for restoration. I need to finish my Duster first and then the 70 purple/wht RR. In the mean time I noticed a detail that unlike a vinyl top car, a painted roof doesn't get the tristar just like any other single color car.

I,ve seen a 69 polara with a three on the tree once , was a red convertible in Florida ( fixer upper ).
Seller thought it was original..........
It would have to be original. Nobody in their right mind would convert to a 3 on the tree.

Oh man I didn't notice that! But it also says W15 deep dish wheel covers which it has??? Was it supposed to have recall wheels???

No, your car was built too late. The code is W23 for the Kelsey-Hayes road wheel.

It's called Fratzog
 
I know, I just never think to call it fratzog......did the car come with 6" H wheels then?

Check the rims on the car and look for the stamped numbers by the valve stem. Then let us know what you find and we can tell you what rims they are and if they may be from that car.
