doesn't line up with the info I have. Got a bunch of tags with D31 (318 cars; b-bodys) and code D32 for the 727 (used on B-Body muscle cars ie).

All 69 C-Body tags I do have show code D32 no matter if BB or SB car. But I do not have to many

Each plant coded differently. Check to see if your 69 Windsor tags all code D32. I have E44 D31 and D32 tags from Belvedere and Newark. It also depends on application. I have E44 D31 tags plus a E44 D35 (towing package ) with D32.

Again, that is a typical early 69 Windsor tag. What was coded varied by plant. 69 Windsor coded only the basics early in the year and added more codes late in the year.

so far I seem to have had only early tags which didn't show much.

I had Rhinos Q5 vert tag, too ;o)))

It looks like the transition is in May. The 508 car is the first style and by 523 you see the second style with more codes.
