He knows dang well it's not a real Hurst vert. Thera are parts from the hard top he scrapped right in the background. Scammer.

When I bought my 300 convertible, I had an option of buying a Hurst hood and deck lid with the car. They needed some work and I really didn't want to build a clone.

I did end up with some bits and pieces from the Hurst car that the hood came from. I have a extra gold stripped grille and I know a few pieces here and there on my car were from the Hurst car.

Still have the hood? I love the look, but I'd paint it the same as the body and leave it understated.

I'm not sure he's a scammer. This is his reply:

This is a clone car it has a title for 300 hurst coupe so everything would be correct equipment

There is only one 300 convertible hurst 440 375 hp car in existence, and one with a hemi. They are very rare this one is very rust free perfect car to be a match to the original.

It is a little bit worrisome that he has a title for a Hurst coupe, and not a 300 convertible. That means he's selling a title for a different car. He's got to know that the market for these things is very small, and anyone buying one is going to know what he's buying.

Unsavory, to be sure. Dishonest? Don't know.

I'll take the one with Miss Linda..She can come along too, what the hell we're all getting older

Linda was a guest at the recent BJ auction in Palm Beach ......... She still has her spirit ....... but thats about all thats left.
They auctioned the Hurst 442 convertible, (the one with the shifter platform like the 300).
They dressed April Rose up to be Linda and stand on the platform ...... Just wasen't the same.

Even "unsavory" individuals give the rest a bad name.

Did the Hurst cars have a unique VIN code?
If not, it would be super easy to slip in an "H" when titling a 300. Dumbasses at the DMV would never catch it.

Our DMV (CA) checks the cars personally not just the paperwork.
Anything fishy gets referred to the CHP for a more thorough inspection.

Interesting. Wouldn't touch a car with the wrong title, but if he also included the correct title for the convertible, that would work. Then, it's a 300 vert with Hurst parts.
