Need some help 1970 300 vert. Looking for a new seat side cover. There is a listing out there for white and pearl white. I checked legendary and it shows almost a cream white. I thought there is only one white for a 70 300 convertible. Here are a few pictures of what I found. The last two pictures are from legendary that photos is of their seat covers then the show the color as 200 white. Thank you

You can find the correct interior color codes in the Library at www.hamtramck-historical.com .

Many people are not aware of the pearl-type colors that Chrysler used up unto the 1974 model year. BUT when you put the Chrysler Pearl White next to a GM White or a Ford White, the differences are very apparent and astounding. Been there, done that.

Suddenly, just as with their exterior "white" colors, the GM white gets a blue tint and the Ford White becomes creamy, next to the Chrysler white. Otherwise, separately, they are all "white" and you don't notice the shade differences unless you know what you are looking at.

As long as Legendary Interiors has been around, with their award-winning repro interior items, I would trust their judgment more than not. IF you do get their products, DO compare them to the door panels in the car now. With age, the Pearl White can "fade" and look a bit dingy in some areas, that will not wash off. The images from the Legendary (or similar) website cannot effectively indicate that their products have the factory Pearl White vs. normal White.

DO look in the Color and Trim Guides at the Hamtramck Historical Library website. DO TALK to the Legendary operatives to see which color code matched the interior color code of your vehicle. Then proceed as desired.

Just some thoughts and experiences,

My 300 here has Legendary Auto Interiors seat covers. Note the piping around the seat panels. Before you buy have them send samples for comparison. Here are some photos from my 300 interior. The buttons on the seat do not come w/ the seat covers.

It is interesting that Legendary makes seat covers for the 1970 Chrysler 300 convertibles but refuse to make them for the 2 door hardtops?!

Mine are white. There is a distinct difference. Also the hinge covers mentioned in your post will need to be color matched to your seats. I found the hinge covers from ABC Moparts a good fit, but not color correct.

Looking at both the Data Book and the Color and Trim selector, there is only one white for 1970. The swatch provided does not look like Pearl White. I would go with what Legendary suggests for 1970 seat covers.
