That's what I meant. A data correct vcode block, they're not falling from the trees
All one needs is a HP stamped block from 1970 (within the right casting date to build date), a warranty block with no VIN on it would be ideal. There is no "V" code blocks as six pack engines did not have anything stamped on the block to differentiate them from standard HP engines. The only way to tell an original six pack engine would to find one with the original VIN stamped in the rail and there is only one of them out there that matches the VIN of this car. Once you had a block then you would have to hunt down six pack rods and external balancer to complete the package other than the six pack carb setup of course.

:thankyou:for explaining, I didn't know that..
Anyways, I'd love to see that one resurrected, so hopefully someone goes for it

All you need is a date code correct block, no? Everything I've read (not a lot, of course) is of conflicting opinions, but the consensus seems to be there is no difference between a 440-6 block and your average every-day 350-375hp block.
To make it visually correct, you'd also need the externally-balanced crank damper (and the reciprocating parts that go with it). Not many people would look for that, though.

Disregard, Wollfen already said it...

Or, drop in a slant six and don't open the hood at shows...

My gut instinct was to say F&*( the numbers and toss a driver 440 in there... I'm pretty sure you fella's in NC could find something before lunch today.

On the other hand, a holy grail car... this one would be worthy of a full restoration and numbers game stuff... (I'm not sure I would enjoy that as much).

I have nothing to add that Wollfen doesn't already know, so I'll just sit back and enjoy the show from here...

WILL TRADE FOR ANY NICE CONDITION RUNNING, DRIVING 69-71 B/C/E BODY MUST BE 340-4 ENGINE OR LARGER HOWEVER..
