This car is highly documented from day one! You can only add 10 pictures here and 24 on CraigsList, but go ahead and do your research and let me know what you come up with...

I am in the process of getting all the other ads posted. With Mecum in town and the rain all week it has been a task.

No disrepect here and don't get me wrong I really like and respect that you joined here to make our member numbers grow and to sell your cars, but if Mecum is in your town why not bring the cars there and see what they go for.

Why pay their enormous and outrageous fees when I have Mecum in my backyard?

To sell the cars, but valid point taken. Their fees along with other auction companies fees are ridiculous. Especially with a 10 or 15% commission. I absolutely love the 300 Hurst Chrysler cars and wish you the best of luck with the sale

You can always add more pictures in another post.

Not sure why a seller would get pissy so quickly instead of just saying what happened to the engine bay...
Sure it's a documented Hurst, just look at the many pictures of the Original Hurst booklet, but there was one sold on eBay in the past claiming low miles such as this and it looked weathered beyond it's claim. If the seller is of the original owners family, end of questions, great, mileage is legit. If the seller has a complete title history showing mileage over the years again, great. Getting defensive instead of an intelligent answer raises red flags though.

I have and will never understand why people feel the need to troll people on the internet from behind a computer screen, half who probably don't have any money or interest anyway. I get it, you take this forum police-ing real serious and everyone is an expert all the sudden so if you're interested cool, we can talk, if not "troll" along! I have better things to do than to sit here refreshing and argue back and forth with someone via the internet. I have met some really cool people on these FBO sites these past couple days but the rest are just "special" just like my wheels.

It certainly appears that the exterior and interior back the accumulated miles stated, but could you give us some thoughts as to why the underhood looks so dirty/used? Not trying to be nasty or anything, just wondering - like maybe it was in a pretty humid garage for quite a while and the moisture wreaked havoc on the underhood areas? Does the car run like a very low miles new car or is there anything notable about its operation after so many years of sitting? Could you describe for us also what has been done to refresh the driveline after 50 years of virtual non-use? Knowing these things would help a prospective buyer be more inclined to step up to the plate. Thanks.

I recently bought a triple black standard 1971 Chrysler 300 that I thought sure had to be more than the claimed 19K miles on it, but after driving the car and looking it over more carefully, I am now more inclined to believe the mileage claim, but the underhood of that car also looked well weathered and dirty. Turns out it was in a humid garage stored in Racine, WI and the under hood was looking bad kind of like with this car. But in looking at the side of the engine block for example, there wasn't a speck of engine oil at all and only some slighly rusty, flaking engine block orange paint that suggested really low miles. There were also other evidences that show it is an original 19K miles car too.

Don't let the skepticism distract you. Thank you for posting the car here, we all appreciate fine examples of c-bodies. We usually try to be more respectful of cars that are posted by members but some come across more abrasive then intended.....I hope. The past yearly registration paperwork speaks volumes for the car's provenance. If someone is serious about making an offer, they will do their due diligence to research a high dollar car.

IMO the skepticism comes from a ton of 300H's posted for sale over the past year+ but I think it's the result of people see one go for high dollars and everyone with a car throws their line into the pond to see if they get a bite, that's not a reflection of your intent, that's my opinion of why so many 300H's have come up for sale in general. I will say that throughout the members of this site, you will find more knowledge of c-bodies on the planet, bar none. Having said that, we're always curious when we see something we haven't seen before so what are the add-ons that appear to be coolant related? They seem to have been added by the original owner? I've not seen that before. @commando1, can you tell me what this aftermarket add-on was? We're all learning all the time, no one knows everything.
Thanks.

Since the inception of FCBO, the experienced and knowledgeable best & brightest members of all things C-bodies have exposed a lot of posers, bullshitters, flippers, and downright dellusion unknown sellers. Not saying you are one but the **** always hits the fan when an unknown seller describes the all the frosting but gets defensive and ugly when asked to address the cake.
There are several members here who know more about the Hurst cars than you can imagine. Answer their questions and the non-member trolls who constantly monitor FCBO always snap up the best ones.
FWIW, in 1970 I thought the 300 Hursts were the ultimate "muscle car" and lusted for one. Now I am completely turned off by them because it seems most of them are **** boxes asking gold prices.

You should probably answer the questions because people like me with huge collections skim these threads. I'm not going to take time and ask you 100 questions personally as I'm not an authority on these cars. People on this board, are. I've wanted to add a 69-72 Cbody to my collection, just haven't found the right one.

You may be right, the person asking the question might not have the funds to buy your car, but you're the one trying to sell it. Asking a premium price for a car and then play defensive when people ask you questions, is stupid. If you've paid attention to this board, you had to know these questions were coming. If you want top dollar for your car, post clear pictures and answer questions. Otherwise, continue to be the disgruntled seller who says the world is filled with nothing but tire kickers, when in reality, you're just not a good seller.

To manually shut off the hot coolant from reaching the heater core
a) to prevent hot air reaching the blending door, a/o...
b) because the HVAC is f****d up
Wait Stan, I have one of those in my unmolested ‘70 300 parts car, it must be a dealer add-on!
:wtf:

LoL... not a good seller, you can Google me, "Randy Wilson Glendale, AZ" or better yet ask Galen Govier to cosign me, we were on the phone for hours yesterday. I am/was personal friends with Steve Juliano and his daughter and we've traded cars and memorabilia for years. I do not need to prove or justify myself to anyone here! I am a REAL person with REAL contact info everywhere in my postings if anyone really is interested or wants answers... but wait that is too hard, you would rather bash someone via the forum to look cool! Have a great day friends!
