That makes sense. He holds the value of the machine work done to the motor. Reasonable.
That's BS, but if you can get a lo-po 70 440, you could get it rebuilt for less than the 6500 he took off.
 
I agree that the motor should go with the motor at all costs. Plus, I stray away from a motor that I had nothing to do with the build. Unless it's coming from someone reputable and with proof of work done.
A built motor that is original to the car but being parted separately is not my cup of tea.
Too bad really. I'm assuming this is the reason for the red X. I don't know if I've gotten a red x on this site. I'll wear it like a badge.
