What do yal think of the price of 30K since it needs brake work and a new trunk pan?
I know better pictures would help to understand what is needed, but it seems 30K is a little steep, even if it is a running car. Running, and not stopping.

Prices on those cars are all over the map. In this case, I'd say it depends on how much rust overall. The rusted trunk floor could be from a leak, but it would help if there was a picture. Some people's idea of what needs to be replaced versus what could (or should) be patched varies a lot.

It's not gonna by cheap to redo that leather drivers seat either.

IMHO, I'd say, based on the description and pictures, they are off the mark of $30k. Maybe $20-25K at the most, but the lack of pictures doesn't help.... And who is it that expects to sell a car for a premium price with 3 crappy pictures?

I may well have more pics this evening.
Seems the price is over the mark.
Maybe the paint is original and in excellent shape.
Perhaps the drivers seat cover and be removed, reconditioned and reinstalled?
Can't tell if it is cracked or just well worn.

Legendary seat kit is (cough... cough) $1784 for the front seats.

If you can find someone good that can do leather, it may be cheaper, but I don't know.

To me Hagerty I have always felt is off the mark. They always seem high on all their estimates. They seem to get to caught up in the hype surrounding vintage cars. If vintage it must be worth a lot of money. I tend to go with Collector Car Market. This car is a #3 at best which turns out to be most of these cars. The #1 category is a professionally restored car and I almost never see one of those for very obvious reasons. A new trunk pan might drop this car down to #3-.

We've talked several times here about the cost and how difficult it is to turn a rough Hurst into a proud driver, let alone "show" status. It's not anything like a Mustang or Camaro or even a Cuda. Sheetmetal doesn't exist, nor does interior stuff. And if the hood or decklid is toast, you got real trouble.
There's a lot we don't know about this car, so is it worth $30? Maybe, if all it needs is some hard parts (easily procured for the most part) and some upholstery. Or you're looking at another $30 to make it very good. And I agree that most of these Hursts that come along are #3s or worse.

To bring something to the price range of Hursts, I sold mine in July 2023 for $65K to a motivated buyer, but Hagerty, Hemmings, etc don't know about that private sale.
