Lovely car.. and exact same interior as my 70 300.. which was born gold.

That red repaint, is a "well presented disaster" !

I also like the beige with cloth insert interior..........but not with that red exterior. I'd prefer dark green, gold or pale yellow. This 300 has been for sale for a few years and it's going to need a bit of metal work done to it, which is another reason why I passed on buying it.

I could see that being fixed up and painted B7, nice.

Wasn't there someone out there complaining he can't find a 300 project car?
That's two in two days now...

Do you know why there is 300 at market now? Because i just bought a Newport, when i always wanted 300...... :) :) :)

Just emailed the person and going to start looking into what's involved with customs at the border and what paperwork is needed. I just shipped a 61 Imperial up to Canada and the paperwork was insane. I always check here first in my search.

UPDATE... Shipping from Calgary Canada to the Boston area is $2,200 plus a customs broker, plus duties fees which puts it out of my comfort zone. I'll find one. Newports and New Yorkers are now on the list.

So, just curious, have you decided that you like the Newports and Newyorkers, or would you still do the conversion? Best of luck on finding one.

But the hideaways are the boldest design Statements of the late 60s-70s. No must have, but I'd prefer them over AC in all of their uselessness. ;)

A/C useless? You have to come visit Florida this July or August. Almost all of my cars in PA had A/C when new and most didn't work while I owned them... but here its basic necessity. Well, unless you're young and like to sweat, pant and struggle to breathe. And the more mid state you are, the less air movement and the hotter it gets.

Nope. I meant hideaways are useless but "cool". AC is useful (to some) because it's cool..

Is this car in Red Deer? (It was discussed here a few months ago.) - If so, it looks better in these new photos.

Even at 100 degrees my windows are down. .... Some of us prefer the outside feeling

Cherish that Newport, it's a beautiful car on its own. Please don't build a clone 300 out of a perfect driver.

Well boys I told you I couldn't stay away from this one! Went and saw the man today. The car was a lot better than I thought! 4 pumps of the pedal she started right up even tho it was -20C here last night! Stored in a nice dry quonset (dome shed) had very little rust and the interior was excellent. Check out the fender tag options below had lots to talk about this one! I quickly seperated myself from $2500 cash ($1800 USD) and became the proud owner! I'll post some better pictures when I get it in the shop as it was too frickin cold to stand around snapping photos. These will have to do for you all in the meantime.
