Hi Everyone,
I'd like to share some pics of my car before any real work is done. Today I'm getting a new exhaust system installed, going for a very quiet H pipe set up. It still has trouble starting, but it is drivable and has a high idle. The plan is to do the mechanical work first, then the bodywork. And, as my brother reminds me, to pace myself! That's the hardest part. I'll try to post as many pics as this project moves along. Enjoy the pictures. I can only post 10 at a time so I'll do this in groups of ten.

Looks like a good project! Great color inside and out. Looking forward to updates on your progress.

Great looking New Yorker! I hope you are able to enjoy driving it while you are fixing it up! Best wishes

very nice, I see alot of options, can you post history and fender tag/engine pix. Do you think a carb rebuild will help starting?

Rebuild carb, set timing to what the engine wants. (more initial advance) Plugs, wires, cap and rotor, new fuel filter, make sure fuel tank is clean and lines are flowing clean fuel.

Hi Everyone,
Here is my new exhaust. Originally the car had a single exhaust, you saw the previous pics of what it had when I got it (scroll up if not). This new system provides a low base rumble at stop lights and very quiet as I move down the road. It's nice. The work was done at McInnis Muffler in Lake County Indiana on RT 41. $792. 63 for everything. I recommend then. I think it looks good, high, tight, and level.
Next, item: the power break booster rebuild.
