I can only post up screenshots as the AD is in a private group not able to be viewed by the public.
It's a PL car with no special order plate so being a bona-fide PD car maybe questionable.

"A38", some F codes,... certainly indicative of "police" equipment from factory.

"police car"? who knows.

likely, but to me, from what's shown, inconclusive without the "paper trail" of fleet owner(s).

Funny I went back to this one to see if any comments were made, nothing... comments were turned off.
This car is the banner picture now of the group thou...

Then I remember reading something in another post for someone looking for a 1969 Dodge CHP car.

Poster OT commented this:
"Have you seen that photo of the LA County Sheriff's office stockpile of crown vics in the desert. There's like 200 of them brand new never been in service that they're keeping and handing out to special people. If I can find it I'll send it to you. I'd love to have one again."

Anyone know if this is true? Post is only 6 days old with just one other comment by the author of original post.

I googled that quote and the way it appears to me is that, yes, they ordered 600 CV's in 2011 to stockpile. Personally, I would have ordered 10X that amount.
That quote is a year old and their new CV inventory was down to about 240.
There's going to be a humongous ceremony, I would guess, when the last one goes into service.

I wonder who these 'special people' are... Ha!

Interesting to see HP manifolds on a 383-2 barrel. They look to have been on there a LONG time.

The rust in the hood and drivers front fender, plus the aircleaner, look like a spoiler alert to what the rest of it surely looks like.

Does anyone have the actual contact number or email for the guy selling the car? I dont do facebook either. If it had the pk3410 670 trans in it it would be ok for me. It does look like a parts car only. The trim tag says 'hd trans' so Im wondering.
thanks
