Hi, I am new here and in hopes of getting info and leads to help in the process of putting my old plymouth back together. It is a 318 car and I have owned it 22 years. Like many mopars it has what I would consider oddities. It has the bulges in the hood with turn signal lights, which seems like it would have more likely on a big block car, or one with more options.

:welcome:

It sounds like a nice ride ............ :3gears: So !!!! Can we see some pictures ????? :eusa_think:

I will get some pics up. It's not ready to ride yet sat for too many years.

Welcome to the site from the Motor City! Wasn't the bulge hood standard for that year?

Nope. Not. Ever.
The patina of that hood does not match the patina of the rest of the car.

the bulge hood was, but this has the turn signal lights in the bulge as well. I had a 1970 fury convertible for a donor car that was other than color the same equipment, and that did not. more curiosity than concern

It is a 1971 hide away headlight system and grille, and it is currently a 1973 ford green. it will have the original, which i will have back in it. it was originally dark burnt orange. when i bought it in 1992 it was maroon.

Is that a dark turquoise, like this shade of green best of all.

Edit: I see you answered that just at the same time.

That is a 69 Fury hood with grafted 70 power bulges !!!! Mine may end up like that although I am looking at some other options that may work...... :the penguin:

I like the 71 front end in it. I think I would leave it that way....

I do too. It has the headlight brushes that wipe them clean. When we were driving it I was amazed how many people felt the need to tell me they didn't make convertibles 71.
