That's nice. Looks pretty straight!

Chrysler must of got a hell of a deal on green paint in the 70's. I love most of Mopar's high impact and metallic color's.

I agree, it's very nice car...color or no. Maybe one of the extra parts is a 383 or 440 long block....it'll need it.

I do the same thing in my monaco. Trying to make that 2barrel sound like a 4! lol It does make it sound a lot better.

I do like the big blocks. But I will say I favor the small blocks a bit more for everyday use. Ive only had the smog motor's to compare with, and the stock '75 2brl 360 would keep right up with the stock '75 400 HP engine in a coronet.

Now I can't compare the 360 with the '73 400 in my newport, as its built up quite a bit. But I do trust the 360 much more over the 400. The 360 seems less needy, and not as tempermental.

My position is not some much about redlining it to the finish line in as much as having the "oomph" muscle to get things moving relatively quickly.

Sorry, I've been in many 318 cars (they certainly don't have oomph), a 340 car (HELL of a screamer as the rpms came up, but again no "oomph" downstairs....you don't want to neutral drop it), but never a 360. Since the 360 is based on the same LA block I really don't see why it would be any much difference (larger bore but same stroke as the little 318?).

Any big block motor 383 and up will have more stroke (= torque) to push the same size big car off. That's not dissing small blocks, just stating a fact.

Actually a 383/400 has a smaller stroke than a 360. 3.38 vs the 3.58 of the 360. The thing that helps with the low-end is the smaller valves in the 360 and stroke of the 360. The big block has a more aggressive camshaft, larger bore, and larger valves.
