I love 400's and 440's, I hate my 383. That 360 was amazing, so was my 340 that I had in that 4 door polara, pulled that from a 1970 340 duster 3 speed.

Ok, so what was wrong with your 83'?? Honestly were a few cylinders low on compression or what? I'm not on my first one, the motor prior to the one I have now was a bear......my then girlfriend kicked the crap out of it until it threw a rod one day...but it had real stones downstairs...you would've thought it was a 440 car.

383 was original with 55 thousand miles. Rebuilt the engine because of bad rings.
The engine runs fine and was built by a local mopar engine builder of 35 yeara.

So you think the 383 is an incredible engine.....you poor sheltered man.

Well, I'd say it is no less incredible than the any 440 or 400 cu in motors...esp. the 383HP motors.
