NOT MINE 1970 Polara convertible in Finland (blue repaint, Hemi engine)

Thanks to @fc7_plumcrazy for pointing me to this 1970 Polara 'vert. It was supposedly overhauled a year ago. It has a 2007 crate engine.

This car, which is currently for sale in Finland (in Orimattila, Päijät-Häme) was previously unknown to him and to me turns out to be a ragtop that was last recorded stateside in 2006 (see my post below). @polara71 @71Polara383

Perhaps a Finnish member will be able to tell us more about the car and its history? Number plate is CTE-11 as per the ad and the photos.

That's a tip off to look for other rust repairs.

While that really jumps out, otherwise I really like the car. Well... The wheels aren't my favorite and dollars to donuts, I'll bet there are spacers/adaptors behind them.

I got the registration information from Rekkari, using the plate number listed in the ad. This is DL27L0D106491 -- which makes it the tenth (AFAIK) 1970 Polara 'vert in Finland. The car's official history indicates a first registration to Finland in July 2022 -- would be great to know where it spent its time between 2006 and 2022.

@polara71 had that car in his database. Originally DR8 Dark Red Poly (aka burgundy metallic, still visible in 2006 from the engine bay pics), this 1970 Polara 'vert had been painted primer gray by the time Polara Dave saw it listed for sale in Connecticut back in 2006. Here are photos he had from that time, including the fender tag:

Interior: L2X9 black vinyl bench

Original options: V3X A01 A04 L31 L35 M25 M31 M85 P41 R11 V01 V5X END

Note two unusual options on an otherwise basic car: L35 cornering lights, and P41 power door locks.
