1970? Polara fender tag picture

For the historians. At the Cloverdale Ca wreckers. Not much of this car left. We went on a tour of the yard with Logan. Very nice old school wrecking yard.

Yes, 1970 383 automatic car with a build date of November 21, 1969.

You have a question mark in your title. The way to tell the year from a Fender Tag is to look at the fifth digit in the VIN, which also appears on the tag. After the E61 and D32 comes DL43L0.... The "0" there stands for 1970. The complete DL43L0D163794 should also appear on the VIN in the window. If it doesn't there's a problem.

E61 - 383 2 bbl
D32 - 727 Torqueflight
DL43 - Dodge Polara 4 door hardtop
L - 383 2bbl
0 - 1970
D - Production plant
163794 - Serial Number

All those above are the various equipment on the car as well as paint codes, etc.

FQ3, my favorite color! Although some of the options differ, it looks pretty much like the four-door hardtop cousin of DL46L0D140853, @71Polara383's turquoise wagon.

Here is a tag very much like it: For Sale - 1970 polara ; funny car.

Both are Canadian-market 1970 Polaras. The one I posted about is FM23G0D327189, with one of the last possible scheduled build dates for the 1970 MY; yours is FM23G0D178333 —it has a similar, but blue, F1 interior.

A VIN starting with FM instead of DM. F is next to D on the keyboard.

I thought the "FM23" is a misprint.
But the link from Michel @ayilar shows another fender tag with "fm23", too.

So might it not be a misprint but a coding for a Canadian Polara 500 in example which wasn't available in the US?
