Yes the paint is tired, it’s a “patina queen” GT. A cool car for someone.

Sorry to here that story critter..

But if he is such a unreliable person maybe it's better that way. Who knows what kind of issues he's withholding about this car

I think

I'm watching your threads that's why I said.. Waiting for a new one to come

OK, I've tried. Lord knows I've tried.
But in the end, I hope someone do get that car.

After I left a message on its FB ad, the gentleman contacted me 15 days later, the car still being for sale (in contradiction to everything that he said here so far), for the same old price of $4000. The guy was very slow in answering messages, rarely more than a sentence at a time. I tried to call him four days in a row, he never answered. Allright, it's not easy being 9 time zones away, but still. I called between 8pm - 10pm here, meaning 11am - 1pm there. Never an answer, even though I told him in advance I was going to call. He said to me he had no phone service during those hours.

I asked him for a scan of the title of the car. He answered OK, to wait a day or so, "Canada being far behind in technology and that only 1% of the people from its town (Kamloops, BC) had a scanner" (!). A picture would have been enough, though. But I never received anything. After 2 days, he told he had sold the car to someone that had until 7pm the next day to come with the cash, was I still interested ? ... It resembled a lot to the story CanCritter told. So in the end I let it go.

Here are some pictures he sent me, for those willing to go on that adventure ...

Someone close to British Columbia should work around that guy and get that car.
Original Lime Green car, 383, A/C, bucket seats ... It's a shame I did not succeeded in buying it.

can´t do more than trying .. whenever I miss to fix a deal on a car for whatever reason, I tell myself that it wasn´t meant to be,
somewhere out there the right one is waiting

Tobias made attempt to buy car last year and got run around to point he never bought or saw car...
L looked into buying it and communication was bad and also got run around and never saw vehicle....is it actully there?
In the end it's a formal roof line with a p23 fender tag as Tobias pointed out....wrong tag for roof...
Bottom line...buyer BEWARE... .....would avoI'd.....

No is a PH23 car with PH29 vin tag on the dashboard

My PH29 car from the same factory has that on both the fender tag and the dash VIN.Could be a screw up by the guy stamping the tags but that would have to be investigated further.

This blue car is also coded as originally being FF4 which is Lime Green Poly.If it had a complete repaint, they did a pretty through job under the hood of painting over any of the green.I'm curious what the trunk looks like inside.
The rest of the options match the tag although the vinyl roof is MIA but should have been black.

Something still seems off here, did the last 6 numbers on the dash VIN match the ones on the fender tag?

The fender tag is right not the Dashboard tag is a totally different number

Sounds like a good one to avoid. The dash VIN matches the car body style but the fender tag matches most of the options on the car but not the color or body style.
My best guess is the actual PH29 body (with dash VIN) was combined with a parts car with the fender tag shown. Not sure why the fender tag was swapped, maybe the person doing the work didn't know much about it and mixed them up or ???
