NOT MINE 1971 Imperial 2-door.

The paint on this one seems to have some decent shine left. Who knows what it looks like up close, but from what I see, the car doesn't require to be 'restored'.
Not for my palate, anyway.

The bumpers, grille, trim and all lenses all look very presentable, and doesn't seem to be any bubbling under the VT (except maybe the passenger's A-pillar?).
So I was merely thinking about rust repair and then painting it from the lower molding downward.
And any repairs for daily-reliable status, of course.

I'm not interested in any car that needs $15-20k of cosmetics.
You're the typa guy I'd prefer to sell it to. Preservation rather than restoration.
There is minor bubbling on both A pillars as you noticed. So welding that up & a new top wouldn't be a bad thing.

This car is tugging at me for some reason, perhaps because I never really considered owning an Imperial.

Lack of title, the distance, lack of indoor storage space, and insufficient attention to the cars I already have are 4 obstacles I cannot easily sidestep.
But this car would've looked great sitting next to a similar-situation 1940 Packard coupe that I passed on ~20 years ago. (it was black also)

Perhaps @ayilar can step up and be a caretaker for a few years? Cars like this should get passed around in the family, no?

A shame the top got changed; black with a green top would really stand-out, and compliment the green interior! Hopefully someone with some good metalworking skill saves 'er!

Can be washed off with solvent. And if someone restores it, the top needs to be replaced anyway because of a couple rust spots under it.

Yeah, this TX9 real estate guy...says "I'm your buyer".
Even after calling me on the phone says will get shipping quote but never calls back.
PLUS he kinda lowballed me.
Annoying, but ok - sale is now pending. A guy in PA. from the FB ad.
Will see if he wants info shared here so you all can track it.

Filthy Fury is sold to a 17 yr old here in Maine.

Dave :)

I know it doesn't help your situation to say it, but I really wish I could be your guy on this one.

But be patient, he (or she) will come along.

Latest in the saga:
Dude had a heart attack so is dealing with that. And he sucks at communication like this last guy.
So, still up for grabs I guess.

Hope they are ok, whichever guy you're referring to.

It does sometimes take a while to get shipping quotes, or even finding a carrier - and to that effect it's probably more difficult to find one willing to do a haul starting way up in Maine. It may take weeks, speaking from experience.

@TX9 is a solid dude so I wouldn't throw him under the bus.

"IF ADD IS UP ITS AVAILABLE for fux sake" ... lol

Several photos of YM23T1C221035 sporting the same front plate from 2008 to 2011 are linked to here: Pics of 69-73 C bodies

Here is the car in 2008, without hubcaps. Looks like the top was still green at the time:

Here it is in fall 2011, with hubcaps on:

This last two photos were taken, AFAIK, in front of Lummox Autobody in Portland, Maine back in October 2011:
