We get down to Idaho occasionally I'd love to come see it in person someday if you end up keeping it. I know it would take some convincing here at the WAR Dept to have such a beast but I do love the look. GLWS but if you ever need to give it a good home we are only a few hours away...and by give I mean away lol
I actually bought an SRT charger out of calgary in april, Calgary is not that far and if you were serious meeting at the border would be a possibility, giving away may be tough...if you threw in a lot of poutine though...that stuff is so good, haha. That srt charger i bought was an 07 with 17000 miles on it, I bought it had it for a month when hail completely destroyed it down here. Super sad day.

Good luck with the sale and your finals !

Very honest description of the car - kudo's

I am trying to be upfront, I do not want any surprises, I don't want someone thinking they are getting a showroom car, I avoid the term show worthy, because I believe any car belongs at a car show. I hate it when people say it is not a show car. I understand what they mean, but at a car show the more the merrier. I remember in highschool I had my 71 charger from the pic to the left, and people would nit pick that thing. Here i am trying to build a classic car as a highschool kid, and people are like oh the interior is not done, ok look at this part of the paint, and then they go hop in their honda civic... haha sorry for my rant. :)

I don't understand how people can be so idiotic to point flaws out like you, the owner, are not aware they are there.

The give away was a joke of course as the wife has a serious hatred of early 70's Fury's due to a disappointing experience her family had back in '72. They bought a lemon and that has soured her (pun intended) on me ever owning a Fury unless it was given to me. Now the fact that i Run a Dodge Dealership maybe we can work out a replacement for that poor 07 SRT Charger with the Fury as a "Trade In" lol:rolleyes:

I actually had the SRT go through some recalls before I could import it to the U.S. it was outside of edmonton...I believe it was at the Airdrie Dodge dealership.

Good guys there - they are 10 minutes North of Calgary and my store is 10 minutes West of Calgary. We see a lot of vehicles heading south given the current exchange rate but with FCA cars built for Canada have no warranty if exported so fewer end up down your way. If I had been smarter and had more $$$ I would have scooped up as many US classics as I could when our dollar was higher than yours 2 years ago as they all would have appreciated 25% now good return on that investment...

And to import the Dodge, I had to pay an importer 600 bucks, and it had to sit at a lot in Montana for 30 days (some federal regulation) just so the importer could put a sticker on it, Dodge will not issue letters of compliance, it turns out ford, chevy, toyota, and subaru will but not dodge.

no, i wished i was, just can't afford it, and my 300 if for sure not road ready. but thanks for asking, I'd love to be there, but look forward to some good photos from everyone on here, have a great and safe time, all.

If you move to Carlisle you won't have to worry abt affording anything but the entry fee!

Yup no letters of compliance from FCA and the 30 day hold was brought in to stop the fraudsters and theives from dumping stolen or otherwise questionable cars in the USA. Now only the big export operations can afford to hold millions of dollars worth of cars at the border for 30 days the little guy flipping to the US can't sit on the cash that long. So much for free trade eh? The funny thing is that cars built to Canadian specs are actually safer technically than cars built to US standards with DRL's and higher bumper bash standards which on paper makes us look better even though the cars are built the same for both countries. It was a Congressman from Idaho or Washington that responded to complaints from US Dealers that brought in the EPA to enforce the 30 day rule which was largely ignored by the US Border guards until then. Check out Cancritters thread on his trials and tribulations with the border and the amazing work your fellow Idahoan Paul has done in restoring his 71 SFGT.

Yes, visiting family, leaving Tuesday for Carlisle.

You could stop by and drop off my shirt Dave :)

I thought of that driving out but you dogged me on my way to Missouri so I dismissed the thought.

Seriously, I feel bad for not getting it to you. You will get it after Carlisle. Vacation prep, Carlisle prep and work kept me from it. You will get it though

And looking at your route, no way am I going through Missouri again.... F that. We're taking the northern route
