I didn't read what is so bad about that 'southern' route, but no way you'd get me to drive thru Chicago!
Either way, both routes go thru Indianapolis, and I'm 5 min off the northside loop around town. You'd be welcome for a meet-greet depending on what day/time you come thru, and if you can tolerate a delay.
Thank you. I plan on limited stops until Carlisle. Again, like on my way here, non stop 34 hours. I need to arrive in Carlisle as early as possible to get sleep before the show
No, it would be foolish to drive that far to a car show!
Years ago I would do the Nats in Columbus OH, that was a 4-hr drive, would leave at 5AM, walk the swap meet for hours, and get back home around 8PM same day. No interest in doing that anymore either!
And to be blunt about it, carshows break my heart. I see all the pretty cars there, and think of all my unfinished dreams at home. Sometimes I walk a car corral and see all the project cars, and all the potential, and then I am reminded of the cool cars sitting at home that I don't have time/energy for.
