I get it,.....but I don't really care about what "the next guy" does or doesn't do.

No point in being afraid to drive it, you rebuilt it, so if you break it, fix it!

Here are some reference pics Dereck. Note that on the rear of each exhaust manifold there is a U shaped bracket, this holds the rear most spark plug wire. On the front edge of each manifold will be a four pronged bracket for multiple leads. Lastly there will be one of those same brackets with four prongs bolted on the thermostat housing. Also next to the ID pad is another bracket long U-shaped to hold multiple leads. Mine have already been pulled off regarding a couple of them, but the pics give you an idea. Plus the two pronged brackets on the rocker covers should be PLastiDipped to stop the plug wire rubbing through on the metal. Also I have included a link of a new bracket that includes the plastic sheath protector for reference.

Hmm, I'm looking at the center console brackets and they are different to what you find in a 1970 model, have we seen a picture of your center console?

Oops, you have a buddy seat not a console, ignore this comment.

Making good progress, probably shoot the body this week and then all that's left is bolt on all finished sub-assemblies. Two maybe three weeks and Paul can go for a "drive around about". (D - ask Paul to explain that.)

Hey Dereck, here are some pics for reference regards the spark plug lead holders. I have set them all up on my engine now in their correct positions.

Paul was saying the factory undercoating was flawless underneath car to point we left it and touched it up as needed...Is why the floors and trunk in this car were like factory fresh...only place Paul found rust for most part was actually underneath the old sealant caulking when he removed it all...food for thought...the man is definitely thorough :thankyou:
