1971 Plymouth Sport Fury GT Brogham & U code Super Comando

I think your welder needs more cudo's, he did an amazing job keeping the sheet metal flat and all the edges straight as a die! For those who have never welded, the job he did is epic!

Paint's not bad either !

Is the gasket between the rear qtr. extension and the qtr. panel correct???

I don't recall seeing a gasket on my cars for the quarter extension, but have seen some sealer. Also, the factory painted the car with the extensions on the car already so you wouldn't see the break in the body lines so distinctly (the quarter extensions never mate up perfectly with the quarter, and thus draw attention to the mismatch, however small, when not painted with them on the car). My paint and body guy stressed this to me recently. This comment is not to detract in any way at all with the outstanding work going on here. Just a difference in opinion it seems.

Thanks for posting all the great photo's, now I know how to plumb the fuel vapor separator! The restorations on this site are some of the best I've ever seen.

My brain hurt to read this..... i just hope to win Eurojackpot etc so can restore mine :)

I agree.

I don't think there is a gasket between the qtr and the end cap. I could be wrong, but it should be a tight fit with some seam sealer. The gasket is going to brake the paint line and it will look "funny" to put it nicely.

Also, Mopar painted the cars assembled, so if you do use a gasket Derek, it should be painted.

been looking at that...like them there in regards to flex and cracking at seam...believe they would look better painted or could tape off and touch up with fine tip brush if need be...will see what Paul thinks...not to late to change a tad or modify if need be
