1971 Plymouth Sport Fury GT Brogham & U code Super Comando

Great vids. and photos, but I still need to see this car in person, great save Critter.

Griot products are very good too.

Their heavy duty wheel cleaner can literally square away whitewalls by just spraying it on and hosing if off. A little brush action will make the whitewalls look brand new! I swear by this stuff!

Some of the Griot stuff is nice, but none of it is cheap. I used their undercarriage spray on the fenderwells of my Corvette. It was a little detail that made a difference in how that car looked.

I use Westleys Bleche-White to clean tires if they are really dirty. It's probably the same stuff as the Griots, but I'm sure it's also cheaper and you can buy it anywhere. The key thing to making it work is to spray it on a dry tire. For regular washes, I just use the "No Touch" foam in the white can. You can just spray it on and let it dry. It's not too shiny and it doesn't spin off like tire dressings do.

Everybody has their own preferences. The key thing you have to remember is that places like Griots buy their product from some chemical place just like, let's say Adam's does. They don't make anything. One product may be the exact same as another's.

I have my preferences for products myself. I like Zaino for the paint. There was kind of a cult following for the stuff when it first came out and I tried it and haven't found anything I like better since. There are some products that are supposed to be better, but everything is so subjective and I can't justify changing.

The best stuff I have ever found for cleaning up chrome is Collinite 850. The Collinite factory was next door to our emblem shop. They have a really nice product across the board. Their carnuba wax is about the best. BTW, they are one of the suppliers for other wax companies.

The Griot stuff is expensive but the heavy duty wheel cleaner is hands down the best stuff I ever used on white walls.

Interesting, I Googled Collinite and found a local dealer who calls himself "Calgary's Wax Boutique". His home page shows he sells virtually every brand I've ever seen and bunch I've never heard of. Definitely have to leave the wife at home when I go for a look see! :D

Take a look at autogeek too. They have some really good "how to" videos. Get on their mailing list and they are always having sales.

WTF? Here I've been using Amazon all this time. Let me know how his pricing compares B!

perk......
Granted critter your GT may be the exception given it's well deserved status, but generally speaking us white car guys need not be too concerned with all that stuff. They look clean all the time anyway. A little blue ice at the car wash and a blow dry down the highway while playing Skynard "They Call Me the Breeze" .
