I called about both cars about 2 months ago, and they guy was bonkers, at best. More details later when I have a little more time.

The guy selling both cars would not separate them (it was listed in Hemmings). He was a pretty old guy, probably over 60 at least. He said they could not be separated because the GTs had to have sheet metal that was unique to those models and because his has rust in the quarters and elsewhere, he said the S/23 was for the sheetmetal to repair the GT (he said those cars are so rare, hardly any exist so I would have to take the S/23 too). I told him the rear quarters from just about any 2 door 1970 Fury would work and he told me I didn't know what I was talking about. He also made modifications to the car here and there, and it wasn't that nice from his description. But he was sure he had a gold mine. He kept talking and talking like he wanted to be my best friend or something, and I had to eventually ease my way off the phone or he would have still been talking. The stories he told were not on subject and they were incoherent as well. You have been warned!

Something like this with 55k miles on the odometer?

Just curious what you guys think - what factors make this example stand out more than the rest of the ones in the photos I normally see? Is it the rake, the wheels & tires, the overall height of the car, the contrast of the black and chrome, the nice looking paint or ??? Maybe it is all of he above, but it seems the rake has the most effect to me. Seems most guys like these cars really low, but I find this one just looks bad-***.

I had an opportunity to buy it, and passed at the time. Maybe I should have bought it, but I like 70 GT's better.

The car is alive and well to the best of my knowledge.

Were is she... He only wanted $2500. Back than.. I was just a kid.. I begged my dad to buy it for me... He just laughed and said.. Them old Furies' were good ok reliable cars... Can't kill that 318.. But they'll never be worth nothin kid.. He said the 1970 Toronado... Now there's a gem !!

Head over heels in love with those black sport fury gt's. I think the slots and the centerline wheels look great on them. Makes me wanna put slots on my 69 fury.
