1972-73 IMPERIAL FOR SALE Tracker starting NOW into INFINITY.

Old Red is on the chopping block?
I'm just putting all of them out there to see what interest or good homes would possibly be available. I'd like to first canvas this forum and my FB friends and FB groups. I'm not opposed to finding all of them good homes. If each and everyone of them were in a good place I would be content and sleep better at night. I'll be 58 soon and my dad passed at 63. And with all of this virus crap and my wife's health and her recent wishes I would like to do the right thing. In the end if the one's I have gathered in a relatively short period of time stay on the roads well beyond me than that's a success for me.

Your choice Doc, but don't you want to keep at least your favourite one to enjoy?

Wishing you and your family good health DocMCNeedy.
I am interested in you "72 Imperial or possibly a different one.

I am very happy and relieved they are going to forum members. Keeping them in the forum family. I'm going to keep a couple around of course. Just had to simplify life.

I spent half the day cleaning the 65 up. I've been open about wanting a 69-73 imperial. The next 2 years I'll be displaying the race cars, a lot. The downside is that means I'm taking trailers. Whatever my nephews drive, needs to be big so we can fit luggage and all of us in to go to the hotel. Dad usually drives his 62 Lebaron, but his girlfriend over packs so there is limited room most times. I'm super excited to get these and get them on the road this year.

That's one unique collection broken up :(, I really enjoyed the regular photo and videos updates Doc posted on this forum.

It's not all bad...I'm hanging on to a slimmer group 4-6...the rest are going to good homes and I can worry less about the bigger herd and how they would be dealt with if I'm in the hospital or worse.

Good for you Doc. Simplifying is good. When I was doing my restoration, my biggest fear was something would happen to me and parts would be scattered in so many places it would be a nightmare to get them all together to be able to sell or offload the car. Maybe it was selfish me not wanting it to be parted out, but there was some anxiety that the family didn’t need the extra hassle.
I really like Lil Red, but since I am the only one in the family that is into this hobby, more than one driver doesn’t make sense.
Now something with a good body needing mechanical or upholstery work, that would be a good new project for me.
It seems you are well on your way to simplifying.

Reading the details of all your Imperial adventures on this site was entertaining and fascinating. I'm sure it's not an easy decision, but one that will afford you more freedom in the long run.
Will you be giving up the stalls as well?

My wonderful 85 year old mother in law has three stalls about three blocks away I get to use for nothing. I have the stalls out at Shawshank that I love to get away to...there will be less stalls there to fill soon. And then I have 2 stalls from March to November at the house when I park my daily driver RAM out on driveway. I always have the Imperials under a roof and secure. I've got Big Red and Iggy at home right now.

I wonder if anyone has put an under the hood supercharger on an Imperial.Back in the early 70,s there was aDodge dealership that put a supercharger on Dusters with a 360.The driveability turned out to be excellent.Hot rod fusey Imp. when you want it.heh.B.B

Well Doc I hate to see you give up Iggy after all you went thru to get it! But better days ahead my friend!!
I still live and breathe Imperials...I'm just thinning the herd a little...I'm doing fine and enjoying a staycation with the pups...we just need to flatten the curve of this pandemic virus to save lives and so that many can get back to normalcy and in my world with my fellow dentists to get the greenlight to get back to work and save teeth. I've got a monster list of patients that need help and we are at a pause right now. It will happen in time.

I,m glad your being pro-active.But truth be told not every state is doing what it needs to.Florida needs a stay in place order desperately and hasn,t done it.My 83 year old mom lives there and hope she continues in good health. She,s doing all the right things but people need to use their sense. My sister,an RN,says they cannot get masks.Right now baltimore city doesn,t have a spike of cases just yet but that,s coming.Take good care of yourself ,be clean, be safe.Phil
