I am looking for pictures of the spare tire cover used in 1972-73 Imperials. The only consistent picture I can find in from the Chrysler Dealer Data Book. I will have my interior guy make me a new one, l need a good pic to show him.

To mod or admin: Why was the last post deleted? I am NOT looking for parts, just pics. If you had bother to read you would have known that.

Interior section, not parts wanted, because I know better than 50 year old carpet which would likely crumble into dust.
I'll rewrite what I posted, if it helps.

The ones I've seen were a round top part, with just another strip of carpet wrapped around the tire. No elastic or ties underneath as it just slipped on and off.

The '76 NYB I had back in the early 80's had one and my memory of the seam between the two was that there was no vinyl, rather just the two pieces of carpet sown together. I could be wrong on that, or maybe different years or the Imperial was different.

That’s kind of what I thought but needed confirmation.

On my 74 Imperials the cover was all carpet (loop to match the rest of the trunk) There was a round piece of black cardboard glued in place under the round top piece to help it hold its shape. The side "ring" of carpet was stepped. About a quarter of it that was towards the seat was not as wide as the remainder which covered the tire.

I hope the description helps...try watching this video towards the end are some good shots of one.

I know yours is a Fusey, but I recall the 73 I had was equipped with the same deal.
