Interesting car to say the least, I hope somebody saves this one. I remember the lowered blue 72 Polara being for sale on E-bay several years back, it is a fleet car but not a police car. I was told it has a 360 in it, not sure if it's the original motor.

HMM is perfect to leave by the porcelain throne. Always the perfect time killer while answering the call of duty.

Agreed, and clears all the s&^t from my head that I do some of my best thinking.

I trade magazines with another long time car friend. He lets me read his Old Cars Weekly, Collectable Automobile and Mopar Muscle Guide and WPC club. I give him to read and return both Hemmings (Muscle and Collector) Popular Mechanics and Toronado owners magazine. Now that is alot to look at every month.

Yes, back in Ireland our American car club would meet every Thursday, and one of the lads would bring HMM and other mags to read once he had finished with them. Think the first edition I laid my eyes on was issue 9, June 2004 edition. Pretty sure that Issue 14 with the restoration article on George Roraback Jr's green 1971 Sport Fury GT was what prompted me into appreciating C-Bodies more:

And in my eyes, Ray Bohacz ("The Ox") is a living American teasure. I would bore that lad to death with questions if I ever met him.....

HMM may be the best magazine ever. I never read partiality and they cover a huge range of vehicles, many are of the big stuff, just the way we like them

Thanks for decoding the polara... Awesome car.. I hope someone saves this beast...

Yes Stan should bring this car Home...If he sells his Newport.

Latest update Stan....
"Hello,

Hey thanks for that pic. (EDITOR'S NOTE: SENT YOUR PIC WITH MY QUERY).

The car also has a cage, shotgun rack, pushbumper, and other odds and ends.

It came out of upstate Minnesota. It has aWisconsin title.

I will work on more pics, the car needs a total resto. It is aworthy car to restore. It will need some metal work etc. Feel free to come andinspect it as well.

Thanks for your interest so far."

Will add pix when/if/as I receive them. Anyone in/near Orange County to inspect this one.....

Cheers

Why am I obsessing over this car.
Must stop.
Must put in perspective.
Must be rational.
Wrong time in my life for this to come along.
:-/

Well mate, if this latest message from the seller is not temping, I don't know what is. You only live once (unless you're into Voodoo etc....):
"P.S. I will sell it for a decent discount to the right guy.Hoping to find a enthusiast that knows and appreciates what this is notthe derby guys or racers looking for a 400 engine to make a stroker outof. That is why its till for sale. Waiting for the right buyer.

Thanks"

That secondlast sentence is significant.

1. Too far away.
2. Don't have the money.
3. Don't have the room.

Those are the FCBO Three.
Learn them. Live them. Love them.
If i did that I wouldn't ever own a car! None of my purchases fit that set of rules. ;)

Wise words. I won't be able to love them, but I should certainly learn them and live them a little more. Give me a few years, they will sink in yet....

Ok gents, latest is that the owner will "take $1000 off the price andkeep it stored for a while if that helps??". As per earlier post he reallywants to find the right buyer for this special car.

Any of the cop car lads willing to step up - Alan, Ray, Tom, Pete.........?

Please save this car, a rare piece of American iron.

Aidan
