1972 Fury III Turn Signal Switch Recommendations

I took the turn signal switch apart today
· Upper Half: Little cross bars seem a bit sunken. I'm not sure. See pics below. Both of them contact the 4 brass contacts, 2 at a time, depending on which direction turning car. I believe white wire is power from brake switch and red is input power for turn signals.
· Main concern: white brake light input wire has turned brown at hazard switch. It is wire below pink wire in 4th pic. It has to be heating up for some reason. Output is still white. 60 K ohms resistance between them. Resistance from white wire contact above hazard to top of upper half is .3 ohms

Take you continuity tester and test each wire from its connector nub to the unit plug, this will tell you if any are open. The contacts for the turn signals look like they should still work fine. I suspect you problem is inside the 4 way and there is no good way to disassemble it. I have drilled out the factory rivets to take it apart, the trick then is to install pop rivets or small screws with locktite as a replacement without breaking anything. But looking at the brighter side of things, look at all the neat stuff you have learned.

I agree. I really don't want to spend time trying to fix the inside of the 4-way. This switch is not worth any more time. Too many other things to do

Gone this far, clean out all the old grease with new
