1973 Imperial HB1

Passengers side isn't so bad. Not much rust.
Under trunk has very little to no rust. Just surface.
No rust holes on the bottom of the car anywhere.

Something going on under the front vinyl.
It didn't leak in the rain storm I drove through though.

The trunk is decent.
Expected since it has been indoors for 15 years or so.
You can see the rear end damage on the trunk panel above the imperial insignia.

Keep in mind, the interior pics are before there has been any cleaning done to the car. (barn fresh I guess)
The interior has the typical hole in the drivers seat.
Otherwise not so bad. Driver quality I would say.
No holes in the headliner, a stain or two.
No holes in the back seats or the passengers.
No cracks on the dash.
I broke the plastic piece under the column.
One or two pieces of missing blue trim that I would sure like to find.
Blue door panels are in great shape.

That is the little write up that I have so far on this car.
Great running , Beater, driver quality car.
I wish it didn't have as many issues as it does but it is what it is.
The color HB1 BLUE SKY has REALLY grown on me.
I've always kind of liked the look on C's but now that I drive up to my house and see this thing every day I can really appreciate the color.

I wanted to post up pics of the car, mostly because I ask all of you for pictures of your fender tags and your cars so I like to return the favor.

As I dig more into the car I will post more pics and progress. It's mostly just a beater car to me so I will drive it until I find a 2 door that needs a roof over it's head.

NOTHING like seeing the USA from behind a C-body hood or through the great side windows.

I agree!
A goal I have is to pick up a C boat and drive it to Carlisle. 33 hours or something like that.

I have seen it in the parts book, maybe part of a towing package.
I have wanted one for my Imperial, just cuz, more stuff. I have not had my rad puke, but would nice to catch it if it did, A bit unbecoming of a Tux Imperial leaving unsightly drool on the drive way at the estate.

Interesting. So then perhaps part of the tow package.
I have yet to touch this car this winter.
As I rummaged through the car last winter/spring I did not find a broadcast sheet under the front seats.
I'll research that more and see if I can find one.
Perhaps that overflow bottle would be on the broadcast sheet?

I found my sheet in the rear seat springs.

Good thing that you bought it, might have ended up smashed or parted out, the light blue looks great on these Imperials. There was a '73 like this one (can't remember if it had cloth or leather blue trim) listed for sale over a decade ago with 30,000 miles on the clock, or close to it, asking price was 13K or so, car was in mint condition, sold very quickly, wish I had saved photos from the ad.
