Thank you for the info.Very interesting.I never realized black was so rare.It makes me feel better about my black Polara.
Now that this car has some interest I would like some opinions on the asking price.Where else will you find a low mileage example like this.Do you think the asking price is reasonable or high? When you see something like this it's hard to judge what's reasonable.I guess it all depends on how deep are your pockets and how bad do you want it .I would like to hear what others have to say .

$23000 is a lot of money but it's a lot of car. If you can afford it and really want it paying full price wouldn't be unreasonable. That being said there's a best offer option. I would try that first. Also there is a phone number in the ad so if you have any doubts you can talk to someone.

The phone number is listed three times in the ad. The owner really wants you to call him.

I think the 23 K isn't that bad of a price since this car is in such great original shape. Can't be that many of these existing.

Doug, I actually thought about reaching out to the seller of this car. It's a 73 though with a small block but it's gorgeous.
I don't think it'll get 23 but it is possible to guys like you and I who want a car 100%.
Buy this one and sell your ...but hurry before you and I are bumping into each other.

It's funny Dave I was thinking the same thing.Icould always sell mine in the state that it is in.which isn't horrible. The only thing kinda holding me back as I told you before is the restoration of my grandfather's truck.Ive sunk a pile of money into it with a ways to go and am doing a lot of work myself.I have to weigh it out and determine if I can swing it .I still have a lot to spend on the truck so it's just a factor. But this car is just stunning .A lot to think about.

Once it's gone you will be saying " I should have" that my friend is the tell tale sign that you will be disappointed you didn't.
Do it and figure out the rest later.

That car is fantastic but if it were mine, I would be sorely tempted to turn it into a Monaco with the special front end as shown below with hidden headlamps and keep the original front end for the next owner if wanted. The only other thing I would add would be to replace the R11 am radio with an am/fm stereo. Love the red insert on this car for sale!

I would also be fine with a 360 since I like them better than the 400s at least in around town driving.

Notice anything? I do, several. No picture of the other door and it's jamb? My, what could be missing?

Can someone please tell me what A82 is?
I have not found that code yet. Associated with the special package I assume?
The A82 was the code for the “Spring Special” used across the C-body line, including Chrysler, Plymouth & Dodge.

Each one had their own unique A82 package offering different colors, interiors and options.

Here’s a link to another thread that many knowledgeable members contributed to providing info on the A82 “Spring Special” option.

Also attached is an original ad for the 1973 Dodge Polara Custom A82 “Spring Special” like the car that’s currently on eBay.

The door sill does appear to be missing.
The trunk seal, is there but looks silver. Perhaps it's just a lighting issue that causes it to not look black.

Why the picture of the 4dr door?
I think to show the black contrast of the weather stripping (seal).
On the car for sale if the weather seal is there it looks to be painted body color but it's hard to tell even enlarged on my HDMI screen. Trunk seal seems to be missing as you can see the attachment holes in a enlargement.

I'll go and see what the actual Ebay photos look like BRB.

(edit)

No the weather strip appears to be there on both doors and trunk although the lighting doesn't appear to be the best and looks like the weather stripping/seal maybe has a tint of body color.
In a enlargement of the trunk seal you can see the ends by the latch and the holes in the seal are for some breathing air I guess (don't remember those holes)

I was paying more attention to the engine bay photos and could not really find anything to gripe about and looks to pretty much factory correct for mileage and age almost like showroom/museum quality, but with that said and being on eeekBay even with a 100% feedback score one would need to get feet and eyes on the ground to see this one in person before pulling the trigger as the seller has little selling feedback as most of the feedback (340+) is from buying.
