What a beauty.

For posterity. CL ads disappear after a time. Looks like two different times (different WHITE cars??) .. clean car, some dirty car, some with road wheels, some with hub caps and new tires??.

Also has green '77 Imperial (??) for sale in same ad (1 pic)

How do I get in touch with the owner

That white two door add is an add from a few years ago.... A Jim Gesswein car I believe, so beware of the white '74! The other one or two, whatever it is, I tried to contact the owner.... Nothing, no response!

something odd going on with this ad.

Here is the nicer white car .. in a SD ad. exactly the same pics. re-used and NOT disclosed as an example of the dirty car which itself does NOT look like a '74 Imp (it doesnt even have waterfall grille).

Yep! The white 74 Imp coupe used to be my car, over 20 years ago! It is a sunroof car. Was not Gessweins originally. Car came from Cedar Falls, Iowa, guy named Fridley. There were only 57 Imps in 74 that had the crown roof, which is same as the later St. Regis roof.

The limited run cars you are referring too are Crown Coupes. In '74 they were all a beige-y gold dark parchment-y color. Very 70's. (Also shag carpet-if you are into that sort of thing). It was a 50th anniversary trim package

Here is a sample of the crown coupe

Finally an Imperial without the St. Regis roof.

The back-and-forth about the Crown Coupe in a thread about a 1974 non-Crown Coupe Imperial was started off by the quote above.

That quote is more applicable to the 1975 model year, when the Crown Coupe production numbers exceeded the normal 2-door Imperials, at least, according to this site:

Imperial LeBaron 2-Door Coupe $8,698 Weight: 5105 Built: 1,087
Imperial Crown Coupe $9,277 Weight: 5205 Built: 1,641

Scam …. Or deal of the century !
I put my money on scam .

Scam????

I just paid 3700.00 dollars for it and he is sending the car to me by rail tomorrow. I sent him cash as he would not take any other payment.

He is hiding the title under the back seat.

Hope it arrives soon!

Then you got a screaming deal !
I would pay that just to use it as transportation.
Keep us informed
