The 2 Door is by far the Sharpest Formal i will ever lay eyes on.

The two-door would be my choice. It's a beautiful car, through and through. I've had five four-door "C"ees, and that is the two-door I'd love to own.

If I had to choose, I dont know which one I would take. They're both gorgeous cars and both have their own unique qualities. I'm about 6'4" so if anything set the 2 apart for me, it would be the t&t wheel in the coupe. I am pretty sure I would not find the sedan uncomfortable either. I have mentioned before how much I love the leather interiors... that has not weighed against these cars in my eyes at all, ever.

The update you fellas are looking for is there is no update at this time. Mr C may have gone with fire sale prices, but this isnt a fire sale. I wont pretend to know what is going on where other potential buyers are concerned, but I imagine there may well be a number of interested parties. I do know I'm not the only one. I also know Mr C has made this decision for the sake of preserving the cars. So there is nothing going on behind the scenes except the struggle of deciding who will be the next caretaker. I am sure the final decision, whenever it's made, will be anounced... and it will be up to the new owner if they want to be identified.

Mr C has been a gentleman in his handling of this and I am sure this hasnt been easy for him.

I'm trying my best to talk Mr. C in to a Plan B.......and keeping the Imp's.

I hope I've been successful.

If I had the room, I'd be asking Mr C to let me buy them and be their caretaker until he retires. Then he could buy them back for exactly what I paid and they'd be in the same condition as I got them.

Cantflip and I have come to terms and he will be the new caretaker of these wonderful cars. We have agreed not to divulge any figures. He displayed the most enthusiasm and passion for them and I believe he will love them as much as I did.

Thanks to the forum members that contacted me privately and within this post to offer options and commiserate. I really appreciate it.

This really is the end of an era for me. Turn the page.

Congratulations Cantflip!

To get a sense of the struggle that led to the decision to sell, here's the cars in the driveway after I lost storage (they don't fit in the garage):

With a heavy heart I'm sad to see them sold Matt...

Congrats to Cantflip.... you have the best 2 Formal Imp's on the planet!

Guess there is more than one Bittersweet on this forum now....Congratulations to Cantflip and Condolences to Mr. C. It is good to know that in times of need there are still good people out there ready to help. This forum makes me proud to be a member.

I think this was a very happy ending.
You were able to handpick the next caretaker(s). Most people I know couldn't do that.
Cantflip has been driving us insane but he came here on a mission I personally doubted would happen. Don't lie, people, you thought so to.
Watching this from the sidelines has peen the peak of any experience in a forum for me. Ive seen come crazy drama.

CONGRATULATIONS X 2

I was hoping they were going to stay with you Matt. But I understand.

Congrats cantflip! I expect to see them very soon!!

I was in the running. I want to congratulate the new owner, and wish Mr. C best of luck.

Just tuned in, congrats Cantflip! When one door closes, another opens, here's hoping that Mr C finds peace in his decision, and Cantflip finally changes his avatar...
