1976 newport 400 w/ac alternator bracket question

That should be easy to make, it bolts to the two bolt holes in line vertical on the head and is 3/4 of a inch from top bolt hole to the threaded hole for alt pivot bolt the difference in the deck heights between a B and a RB. Sorry for trying to force the big alt on you my bad good thing you second guessed me till Big John showed up.

Well eventually I'll have to bite the bullet and buy a whole new bracket setup as I'm sure the top front bracket I have is someone's home made creation,
but I've made a bracket for behind the alternator to match the location of the best of the three holes in the top front bracket and bolted everything together.
looks like it will do, even with one ear and multiple fins broke on the alt...lol, for getting the engine running after its put back in the car and moving the car around the yard for a while.
thanks for everyone's help.

Or find a formal in the junk yard and get all the brackets. Or the derby guys...

I plan to try the local u pull it yards but past experience finding formals there isn't very good.
I may still eventually go with the big alt since I will have to buy about the same amount of stuff, if the price is right.
the trucks might be the same but I can't think of many late 70s dodge/plymouth trucks with ac.
anyone know how to get ahold of this derby josh fella?

Any 383/400 with a/c from 70 up should have it. It measures about 3/8" thick to about 1/2" wide solid rectangle bar stock.

That's what I'll be looking for as well as the front bracket. I had to offset the alt bolt hole in the rear one I made for temp quite a bit to match the home made front bracket it came with that isn't exactly to spec....lol

PM lucky13demo on this site. He's only on this site about every 2 weeks so he might be slow to respond.
