Cheap is one thing... taking care of your server is an investment.
 
If this car is accuratly described then this is worth at least 10k. If not, then all of you with cars similar with 80000 plus miles better list them for 1500 or less and that would be the creme of the crop ones.

Pete, I have to disagree... at least in principle... that mileage automatically makes the car valuable. I know there is a whole world out there that sees it differently than I do. If the car is inherently valuable, ultra low miles makes the market go nuts. If the only thing the car has going for it is low miles, the flippers and such will think they have something, but it may not really fit what an enthusiast is looking for. IMO condition matters far more than mileage, 38 years, there may not be a single good bushing left on the car... all of the PITA little things that are a big deal (like wipers), the seat cushions could be powder by now. This car is very nice, in theory, but might not hold up to a closer inspection. With such a small market that has interest in the first place, he will either have to market the car or really have a gem to get to his number.

I really hope it's a gem, I hope the owner gets $10k or somebody here gets it for half that. I would not use this car as a benchmark for other Formal Imps and NYers because the options, year, colors all matter. I dislike the St Regis roof treatment enough to consider it a price changer...but not enough to pass on the car. $10k seems to be the outer limits for the best marketed of these, look at the Gesswein cars, and how few seem to move at those prices.

I have 2 DD Formal's. I'm 60 years old and with a little work they'll both outlast me. I just want to drive...
My NYB is a coast to coast driver that hasn't failed me yet. As much as I would like to have a nicer Formal like this one...it'll just be parked outdoors and will probably look like DD's in a decade anyways.

The real Mopar world ended in 1978.
 
Some may disagree with me but I believe the C-Body's would of lived on past 1978 if it wasn't for the gas crisis. Chrysler made too many changes to the 1978 NY'er and Newport as a last year C-Body class that I believe could of went into a Formal II generation of Full Size Hardtops. I truly believe that the C-Body sales dropped only because of the MPG and the Oil Embargo crap. My Dad was considering buying a Formal since half of the older of the 7 kids were driving their own cars and living on their own by then. My Dad loved C-Body's.
 
If the title NYB is worth 20k - than this one (still around for 15k!) is a STEAL!

Something I never understood is what do you do with a extremely low mileage "regular car". I understand a really special 1 of 1 car is basically a museum piece but a car there are/were many examples of but has less than 10,000 mi, if you drive it lets say only 5000 mi in 3 years it is now no longer a less than 10,000 mi car and the appeal is gone, must be a ego thing that I cannot wrap my head around, like "I own this", whatever, I don't get it.
