Thanks Stan,
Ohh, I dont take the conversion lightly. Yes, Ive read your posts about dash removal. With that rats nest of wiring. Most formals I would walk away from with ATCII.
When a formal has the right combination of options , taking the bad and working to make it right is the only road, or live with it the way it is. A labor of love in this case. Open to opinions on other avenues.
Its a great car, sans the AC, probably just needs a charge

If a certain Formal was my all time dream car and it was a rarely seen, if ever, specific model, I'd not let not the prospect of a manual conversion stop me.
If it was merely a very nice one, another nice one like it without ATC II will come along.
It's gotta be super special.

There is no "book" figure but you're being very naive if you feel that an ATC II to manual conversion can be considered in such a cavalier manner. Selling the car would almost be a better option.
I have a complete manual A.C. system on the shelf that I bought just in case that day ever came. But the more I think about it, I'm starting to feel more and more that it still wouldn't be worth it. Why? Ask several of us who have taken out a Formal dash.

For your enlightenment...

I'm not saying that I would never own a ATC II Formal....

But it would have to be something very, very special.

Like a 74, for example...

As nice as that white NYB is I'd rather have that 67 Imperial Convertible. Whatcha think Matt?

I think you know my answer to that.:)
