I purchased three sets from Marv and installed in two cars. Excellent product.
He's local to me but believe they're $135 US plus shipping for the southern folks. . 1st run was 20 sets.
If you google his name the following comes up:

Marv Gingrich "1978 C body wiper cam parts. Over the years there have been many posts about wipers on 1978 New Yorkers. I along with many others were confused about what parts fit our cars. The proper parts have not been available for years. I did find NOS parts that shattered trying to install them but was able to reproduce them with better and thicker material. These only fit 1978 cars with 2 speed wipers with intermittent feature. I plan to have a few extra sets at Moparfest in New Hamburg Ontario this August if anyone needs a set. Please send me a message if you are interested.
This eliminates the need to find an older donar car and cut and weld to repair 1978 wipers.
Edit: Please note you need to use your old spring. I have not found a source yet for the springs"

Marv Gingrich will be at Moparfest . He's the guy who had them manufactured. I'm just a happy customer.

Thanks Caper! I plan to have several sets at Moparfest. I have my New Yorker registered for both days so should be easy to find. If you are interested send me a message and I will give you my cell number so we can connect at the show. Marv

My step-son is a draftsman among other talents and took a NOS set of the pieces and re-engineered them and printed them out of better material on one of his 3D printers. I've had them in my car since last summer but haven't had enough experience with them in the rain to know that they're bullet proof. They certainly can handle dry sweeping the glass.

We experimented with a 3D printer but they didn't last.
Mine are machined using a CNC machine.
The outer cam ring is made of self- lubricating Delrin plastic.
The improved inner cam is made of UHMW and is thicker making for a much stronger part that is much less susceptible to age deterioration. UHMW is also a self-lubricating material which exhibits excellent wear and abrasion properties as well as adding extremely high impact strength.

Which material did he use?

Which material did not last?
I have no idea what material he used. I had gone to two different guys to have them 3D printed and was told they wouldn't stand the forces. I then went to my CNC guy that I use to manufacture other parts but he tried to convince me to go the 3D route. I said, "no I want them machined out of block material". When I came back he had 3D printed the outer part and tried to convince me that that was the more cost effective way to go. While he was showing me the strength of the part he snapped it in his hand. It didn't take anymore convincing to go the CNC route. There may be a material that can be printed and take the load but what I experienced was not that material.

Update as of Sep. 15, 2024. I am down to my last 3 sets of cam bushings. I do have PayPal now so it is easier for everyone. I have them priced at $175 Canadian including mailing to anywhere in the world. The email is marv.gingrich@gmail.com I will have more sets later this year. You will need to use your old spring.

I just purchased a 78 Newport and my wiper motor spins but the arms do not move. Mine car does NOT have intermittent wiper blades, will your parts fit mine?
Thank you.

Based on what I know now, I don't think they will. I see you are in Ontario. If we are close I would love to see if they would work. Where are you located?
