That's very interesting ...I have a noticed quite an improvement in the steering feel with the serpentine system power steering pump and remote reservoir. Seems like a lot of slop and oversteer is gone.....or its just my imagination. Just reporting my observations.

I am thinking there must be a difference in the amount of pressure between the two pumps, I remember reading something about Saginaw pumps and changing to different fittings or shimming the spring for different feel.I have driven about 125 miles with the new engine and serpentine system and there seems to me to be a noticeable difference in the steering. The side to side movement seems stiffer which I believe is better and you're not counter steering at all anymore.
I'm concerned that you retained the original throttle bracket with your hi-rise.
